Green Illite clay mask is the most sought after for skin conditions and cosmetic purposes. It draws impurities from the pores. This makes it perfect for detoxifying and removing impurities from the skin.
Illite clay can be used for both normal and oily skin because of its ability to restore skin to its natural pH balance. It also stimulates blood circulation to the skin to help with many types of skin conditions, including acne, psoriasis, eczema, rosacea, bug bites and sunburn.
Cleansing Rosewater is great for mature and sensitive skin, whilst Geranium Essential Oil may reduce a blotchy complexion, prevent dryness and may reduce sensitivity for eczema sufferers or for people with sensitive skin.
Please note, once you remove the dried mask, your skin will be very red and may feel hot and tight. We highly recommend immediately applying a high quality 100% natural face cream, such as our Age-Defying Face Cream with Rosehip Seed Oil. Depending on how dehydrated you are, you may wish to apply a second layer of cream or patting a pump worth of our Age-Defying Face Oil onto your skin once the first layer has sunk in. Sealing your skin with a high quality product after use of the face mask is highly recommended.
Please note this mask may draw out toxins from the skin. However we highly recommend using our Intensive Hand & Body Butter with Lavender & Chamomile on any blemishes, should this happen.
How to make clay mask
- Combine a small amount of the clay (approx. 1/2 a teaspoon) with a few drops of your Floral Water & Organic Pure Geranium Essential Oil mix, until it forms into a smooth paste. Remember to shake your floral water before use. Gradual drops of floral water will prevent wastage, but if you do make too much, your mixture can be kept in an airtight container in the fridge for another time (we recommend using it within a few days).
- Apply the clay mask on the face or body and allow it to stand for about 10 to 15 minutes, or until the paste dries.
- Rinse with lukewarm water and pat the face dry with a soft towel.
